Bass guitar may be looked at by many as the “simple” option, but once you get playing, it is fun, engaging and exciting. We provide bass guitar lessons involving all the technique, rhythm and grooves that you will need to play in bands and have fun. You will learn to jam, write music, and play all you fav riffs and grooves. Taking bass lessons at Mango Music will develop you as not only a bass player but as an overall musician. It will prepare you for the big world of music.
It is important to us to make playing the bass interesting, exciting, and fun therefore included in your lesson program, you will join a band and have monthly practice with them. Your role as a bass player will become comfortable to you and you will learn how the different instruments support one another. We see many new friendships form in our bands too as we develop our personal and social interaction skills.
Bass Guitar Lessons
Learning the bass guitar can involve many things. Working on your hand technique, memorising your notes on the fretboard, and understanding how notes all work together. You will learn about keys, riff, scales and chords, and how to use them in an appropriate way
Our bass guitar lessons are taught in Glasgow’s southside, in our Giffnock studio in the Maccabi Centre, G46 6LD.
As a musician, it is good for you to get involved with other musicians. Most of your learning happens through experience so finding other musicians to play with is invaluable. For Mango Music pupils, there is an organised concert where students get the chance to perform a prepared piece in front of a live audience with your band. This provides real life experience of musicianship.
